Ethical Fundraising Statement

Our promise to you

Thank goodness for you. Fundraising is essential to the continued success of our Charity’s work and your support means that we can continue to make a difference to deaf people every single day.

Your trust in us is vital: this promise to you details our commitment whenever you choose to support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

We will be honest and open in our communications with you

  • We value every single gift you give and work hard to keep our administrative costs to a minimum so that we can use each donation to its maximum impact.
  • You can read more about how your support makes a difference in our Impact Report and Accounts which is published annually.

We will protect your privacy and personal data

  • We respect your privacy and take important measures to keep your personal information safe and secure. You can read our full privacy policy here.
  • You have complete control over how we contact you and you can change your communication preferences at any time by contacting our friendly Supporter Services Team on 01844 348109, or by emailing dataprotection@hearingdogs.org.uk. If something does go wrong, please let us know so that we can put things right as quickly as possible.
  • We will never share your information with other organisations for their own marketing purposes, but we do use carefully selected and regulated external suppliers for some aspects of our work. Any external suppliers we use are professional organisations that we hold to the same high standards of compliance that we adhere to.

We are committed to high standards and accountability

  • Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is registered with the Fundraising Regulator and we are committed to the Code of Fundraising Practice. We work to fully comply with all legal requirements including the Data Protection Act 2018, the Privacy and Communications Regulations 2003, the Charities Act 2022, and the UK GDPR.
