Amber is a sound support dog!

Well done Amber! Our beautiful girl is now a qualified sound support dog and is providing her deaf partner, Tina, with loving companionship and connection, every day.

As a sound support dog, Amber is alerting Tina to essential sounds in the home, but not in public places. When a clever dog like Amber is brilliant at alerting to sounds but doesn’t always feel as confident when out and about, being a sound support dog rather than a full hearing dog is the perfect role for them.

We’re pleased to share that Amber has settled in brilliantly to her new life as Tina’s canine companion!

“My hearing loss started in my early forties, but with the help of good hearing aids*, I managed fairly well,” shared Tina. “After I sadly lost my husband in 2024, I then realised how much he was hearing around the house that I didn’t!
