“She alerts me to sounds around the house, but equally importantly for me, she has helped me at a time when life has been quite difficult. Bereavement and grief are hard, but having Amber to care for has given me a purpose.
“Amber loves her food and enjoys nothing more than curling up on my knee with a full tummy. She hates the wet and the mud but when it’s dry, she also loves her walks and playing in the garden.
“Both of my children also have Spaniels and when we get together, she loves playing with their dogs. Although she’s younger and smaller, Amber is always ‘top dog’!
The work Hearing Dogs do in providing dogs like Amber is invaluable – they are a fantastic charity. I have just started to sponsor a hearing dog puppy myself and I look forward to seeing them progress and change someone’s life for the better, just as Amber has done for me.”
