Lots of fun for Sprout

Welcome back to Sprout’s Puppy Pen!

In your last puppy pen update, we showed you Sprout practising his basic cues of ‘sit’ and ‘wait’.

Your clever sponsor pup has been busy since then, building on these skills and learning all about impulse control. This means Sprout is learning to pause and think before acting on his excitement – even when there is a tempting treat nearby! Watch as he patiently waits and resists the treat across the room.

This exercise teaches Sprout the important skills of patience and self-control. With plenty of praise and encouragement, Sprout is learning that if he can manage his excitement and wait calmly, he will be rewarded with lots of praise and a tasty treat afterwards.

In other news, Sprout has been having lots of fun playing football.
