Episode 7:
Out and about with Noah
Posted by Elizabeth Murphy
Through gentle and positive reward-based training, Noah is learning that he will be rewarded for making the right decisions. E.g. if Noah can resist the temptation to eat any bits of food that fall on the floor, he will receive his own treats, praise and cuddles.
Noah is also continuing to practise his superb settlings skills.
Settling is an important skill for hearing dogs to learn. Noah’s ability to calmly lie down on the floor in busy environments will give his future deaf partner the opportunity to eat a meal, chat with friends, or do some work. Meanwhile, Noah can relax and have a snooze!
We hope you’ve enjoyed catching up with wonderful Noah. He is doing brilliantly in his training in public places. This is all thanks to your support.
So, until next time, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Noah.
Hello, I’m Elizabeth and I work in the puppy sponsorship team. I am very lucky to get to know lots of the adorable pups who are training to be life-changing hearing dogs – they really are amazing!
