Episode 6:

Hebe's train adventure

Posted by Elizabeth Murphy

Welcome back to Hebe’s Puppy Pen!

Let’s find out what your gorgeous sponsor pup has been up to.

Chocolate roan spaniel giving a boop — “BOOP!”

Over the last couple of months, Hebe has been gently introduced to public transport. Before boarding any trains, Hebe first visited the train station with her volunteers to help her feel relaxed with the new sights and sounds of a moving train. This was an important first step to make sure she felt comfortable with the new experience.

Once Hebe’s training team felt she was ready for the next step, it was time for her to jump aboard for her first train adventure!

Hebe seemed to be the paw-fect passenger!

As the train journey continued, Hebe showed off her super settling and focus.

Learning to feel relaxed on public transport is a vital part of Hebe’s training. We want Hebe to be a calm and confident companion to her future partner who may use public transport to get around. Hebe will continue to practise travelling on public transport as she moves through her training.
