Episode 5:
Frankie's new animal friends
Posted by Elizabeth Murphy
Welcome back to Frankie’s Puppy Pen! Your smiley sponsor pup is making wonderful progress in his training to become a future-life changer.
As a hearing dog, Frankie will accompany his deaf partner to wherever they want to go. To help prepare him to feel comfortable in different environments, he was recently introduced to some animals that he may encounter on a countryside walk.
After making friends with some swans, Frankie was introduced to some horses from a distance. Big animals like horses have the potential to be intimidating, but through gentle encouragement, Frankie is learning that horses are nothing to be afraid of.

Learning to feel calm and relaxed around other animals is an incredibly important part of Frankie’s training. It is important that Frankie understands that he shouldn’t bark or jump up at other animals, as this could spook them and cause a potentially dangerous situation for him and his future deaf partner.
Back home now and it’s time for Frankie to snuggle and snooze with an animal he’s very familiar with…
… his beloved teddy bear!
That's all for today from fabulous Frankie. All the skills he is learning now will help him grow up to become a wonderful hearing dog. This would not be possible without your generous support.
So, until next time, thank you so much for sponsoring Frankie.
