Welcome back to Frankie’s Puppy Pen! Let’s find out what’s been happening in the world of Frankie.

  1. Frankie’s fluffy hairdo

Frankie is growing and so is his hair! He’s got a fabulous fluffy tuft on top of his head that’s giving off serious rockstar vibes. What a cool pup.

  1. A settling star

As a hearing dog, Frankie will accompany his future deaf partner to a range of public places e.g. cafes and restaurants. So, it’s important that he feels happy and confident in these environments.

To practise this, he has started to visit quiet cafes to practise relaxing down calmly on his mat. Frankie did a super job of staying focused and did well not to get distracted by the new smells, tasty food and other visitors.

  1. New furry friends

Frankie has been making some new furry friends! He was a very polite pup when he met Daisy the cat. There is a chance that his future deaf partner may have a pet of their own, so learning to feel comfortable around other animals is an important part of his training.

We want to make sure that Frankie learns about social cues and understands when, and when not, to initiate play. As Frankie moves through his training, he will be introduced to lots more animal friends.
