Episode 4:
Alfie loves the seaside!
Posted by Elizabeth Murphy
Welcome back to Alfie's Puppy Pen!
Alfie is very excited because he recently went on holiday to the seaside town of Hunstanton.
Alfie had his first trip to the beach and it’s safe to say that he loved every second! He loved dipping his paws in the sea and splashing around with other dogs.

Believe it or not, a trip to the beach is part of Alfie’s training! There is a chance that Alfie’s future deaf partner may live by the sea, or they might visit the seaside on holiday, so we want to make sure that Alfie is comfortable in a coastal environmental.
Alfie loved exploring all the new sights, sounds and smells that can be found at the seaside. He particularly enjoyed watching the seagulls!
The training fun continues at home too!
Alfie enjoyed taking part in an agility obstacle course at a group puppy class.
Obstacle training is a fantastic way for Alfie to develop his coordination skills and build his confidence around unusual objects. Alfie could experience all sorts of real-life obstacles when he is out with his future deaf partner, so this training will come in very handy!
Back home now, and for being such a superstar, Alfie is rewarded with a yummy treat on his lickipad.

The act of licking produces many happy endorphins for dogs. If that waggy tail is anything to go by, we can confirm that Alfie is one very happy pup!
That is all for today. Alfie is loving every moment of his training. This would not be possible without your incredible support.
So, from everyone at Hearing Dogs, thank you so much for sponsoring Alfie.
Hello, I’m Elizabeth and I work in the puppy sponsorship team. I am very lucky to get to know lots of the adorable pups who are training to be life-changing hearing dogs – they really are amazing!
