Chris Packham’s plea for more volunteers to train hearing dogs

TV presenter and naturalist Chris Packham is a passionate supporter of Hearing Dogs, and he has issued a plea for more volunteers to help us train our life-changing dogs.

Chris recently met one of our volunteers, Kate, who is training the adorable miniature poodle, Theo, who Chris has sponsored. He spoke to Kate about what she does for Hearing Dogs and the many benefits volunteering for the charity brings to her life.

Right now, we need more volunteers to help train our clever puppies. You’d take a pup into your home and with our full support you’ll get them started on their basic training and socialisation.

All costs are covered by Hearing Dogs and you don’t need any experience – just a willingness to learn!

Could you help train a hearing dog?

If you love dogs, have enough time to dedicate to training a puppy, and want to make a real difference to a deaf person’s life, then becoming a volunteer trainer might be the perfect role for you.
