In the third stage of hearing dog training, miniature poodle Taylor, cocker spaniel Maggie, and Labrador Clover visited Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens with their volunteers to take in some new and unusual surroundings.
With lots of new smells, sights, and sounds to take in the girls did a brilliant job exploring the park and working on their 'Sit' and 'Wait'.
It's all part of their training as they could visit new places with their future deaf partners, so it's important they build their confidence in new environments 🐕🦺
Taylor, Maggie and Clover did a super job and weren't fazed by anything at the park!

A garden centre is the perfect introduction to public spaces for Astrid as she works on her 'Sit' & 'Wait' as part of the third stage of her hearing dog training – the Puppy 3 Star.
Astrid showed super focus on her trainer & did a great job in the café.

Star, Oakley, and Venus are working on their basic cues outdoors in a new environment with a few new distractions!
This is great practise for when they start visiting public places with their volunteers where there are lots of new and exciting sights and smells.
Classes like these help our pups to build their focus little by little, so they're comfortable and confident taking on new adventures, like the shops, in the next stages of their training.
