The Virtual Great British Dog Walk

The Virtual Great British Dog walk

Every year we run a series of events called the Great British Dog Walk throughout March, April and May. Due to the current situation with the Covid-19 coronavirus, we have sadly had to postpone them until later in the year. So meanwhile, we came up with a fun ‘virtual’ version that people can do either from their homes or while out on their daily exercise walk! All you need to do is download The Virtual Great British Dog Walk pack for all the information you’ll need to take part.

Join our Virtual Great British Dog Walk!

This virtual walk is free to enter and open to all - with or without a dog! If you are able to get yourself sponsored by family and friends to raise money for Hearing Dogs that would really help, but is not essential to take part.

How far should I walk?

As far as you like, over any period of time! Walking is a really good form of exercise for everyone so whilst keeping fit and healthy, you’re also supporting a great cause.  And remember, you can complete this with or without a dog. Just be sure to adhere to current government restrictions at all times.

Where and when should I do it?

While adhering to the current government guidelines it can be at home, in the garden or on your daily walk.

Try mapping your walk

Why not try using an app such as Map My Walk to see your walk route drawn on a map? Some of the results can be very amusing! If you use one of these apps, you can share your route drawings on social media and tag Hearing Dogs – we’d love to see them!
