My Prudential RideLondon

My Prudential RideLondon

Are you a regular cyclist? Or have you discovered the joy of cycling during lockdown? Why not use your hobby to make a difference by joining Team Hearing Dogs and taking on the virtual Prudential RideLondon this summer!

Victoria cycling to raise money for Hearing Dogs

What is My Prudential RideLondon?

For two days each year, Prudential RideLondon, the world’s greatest festival of cycling, takes place across London and Surrey. The event has always been hugely popular, but like many events this year it has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic which has had a devastating impact on charity fundraising.

At Hearing Dogs we’ve had to cancel all our community fundraising events, but we’ve seen some ingenious virtual fundraising by our wonderful supporters to help replace some of the lost income.

Today we are asking you to ‘Pedal for our Pups!’ and use your bike, scooter, skateboard, trikes – in fact any form of non-motorised wheeled transport and join Team Hearing Dogs for the virtual: My Prudential RideLondon.

The virtual My Prudential RideLondon takes place on the 15 and 16 August 2020. You can ride on one or both days.

A fun event for all the family to join in

How do I take part?

It’s simple – and it’s free to enter! Just follow the simple steps below to personalise your My Prudential RideLondon experience and ‘Pedal for our Pups!’

The virtual My Prudential RideLondon is open to all ages and abilities! There are four cycling distances to choose from 19, 46 and 100 miles, or you can invent your own My Freecycle wheeled challenge over 1km.

With your fundraising page set up, let people know you are a part of Team Hearing Dogs and inspire them to donate to your page.

Spread the word about ‘Pedal for our Pups!’

RideLondon with friends and family

Start pedalling

Set your wheels in motion and complete your challenge over the weekend of 15 and 16 August!

Downloadable certificates and selfie frames!

Once you’ve finished and your challenge has been tracked by the app, you’ll be able to download and print your personalised finisher certificate. You can also use selfie frames to create your own finisher photographs in the spectacular setting of The Mall, the normal finish of Prudential RideLondon.

Your supporters can track your ride

Your family and friends can track your progress on your challenge in real time by following you on the app. It will show your position on the actual Prudential RideLondon course as if you were riding on the roads of London and Surrey.

We look forward to welcoming you into Team Hearing Dogs and we hope you will enjoy being a part of the world’s biggest festival of cycling! With your help we can continue to raise funds to ensure deaf people leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life. Thank you!
