Hike to Halloween for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
Boo! Grab your walking boots and get spooky to support deaf people
This October 2024, walk 31 miles your way and fundraise to change the lives of people living with deafness and hearing loss across the UK. Four-legged friends and friendly ghosts are most welcome to take part, too…
As the nights draw in, it’s tempting to spend longer indoors. But this October, it’s time to shake off those cobwebs and get outside! By getting moving, you can support your mind and body to feel good while also helping deaf people to reconnect with life.
Hearing loss is on the rise – 1 in 5 adults in the UK are affected and around 900,000 people are severely or profoundly deaf. By joining Hike to Halloween, you’ll raise funds to train more life-changing hearing dogs and help our hearing support services to be there for everyone who needs us.

By joining Hike to Halloween, you'll be helping more deaf people like Jason and Yvonne to gain the life-changing support of a hearing dog…
When couple Jason and Yvonne - who are both deaf - couldn’t hear an essential medical device alarm, they realised they needed more support. Now Gwen, the “superhero” Cocker Spaniel, supports them through the challenges of hearing loss, including when Jason was waiting for a life-saving operation:
