Walk start time: Walk start times available from 10 am to 12 pm. You will be able to choose your timeslot when booking. Please arrive within your 30-minute timeslot in order to check in and start your walk.
Cost: Adults: £10 online, Children (under 16): free
Distance: 3km (shorter route) or 7.5km (longer route through the parkland).
Minimum Sponsorship: No minimum sponsorship but if you raise £50 or more you'll receive an exclusive Great British Dog Walk mug or, if you raise £100 or more you'll receive a free puppy sponsorship!
Terrain: Please note the routes are over varied terrain and some areas can be uneven, for this reason we recommend you contact us to discuss any mobility issues.
Parking: Parking is available at the park and in public car parks nearby, but carries a charge.
Other Facilities: Toilets and cafe.
More: This is a great opportunity to explore Helix Park and the magnificent Kelpies, along with other dog lovers and their four-legged friends! There will be fun games to enjoy before and after the walk, so get your tickets and we look forward to seeing you there!
Because of the number of dogs expected, we do ask that dogs are kept on lead for the duration of the walk.
The Virtual Great British Dog Walk
Can’t make a walk but still want to take part?
You can do your own sponsored walk – anywhere you’d like – by signing up for the Virtual Great British Walk. Simply walk your chosen distance with (or without) your dog and raise funds to help deaf people leave loneliness behind.
The Virtual version is free to all participants, and if you raise £10 in sponsorship you will receive a dog bandana.
