|Job title||Volunteer Recruitment and Enquiries Coordinator|
|Location||The Grange, Saunderton|
|Hours||Full time working 35 hours per week|
|Salary||£18,000 - £22,000 experience dependant|
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People creates life-changing partnerships by training dogs to alert deaf people to everyday sounds and danger signals in the home, at work and in public buildings – providing independence and confidence.
The Charity is indebted to its nationwide network of 2,500 volunteers who assist in attaining and furthering the charity’s objectives in so many ways including puppy training, holding of brood stock, fundraising, supporting our office based staff, as well as maintaining our beautiful sites in Buckinghamshire and Yorkshire.
There has been significant recent expansion of the volunteer network and the existing staff team are at full capacity. In order to fulfil the charity’s ambitious plans for 2020 and further, we are seeking to recruit a charity professional or similar who can seamlessly join the volunteering team and add value from day one.
The person chosen for this Volunteer Recruitment & Enquiries Coordinator role will co-implement and play an extremely active part in an innovative, results-focused recruitment programme for high priority volunteer roles (e.g. puppy training and other dog care) during this particularly critical period of growth for the charity. They will generate, follow-up, match and chase a high volume of enquiries, as well as fast-track critical volunteer applications to completion, ensuring maximum efficiency and customer service of the volunteer journey. They will be a database super-user, able to analyse, extract data and produce reports on results against target.
We are looking for someone to join the team with existing skills, pertinent experience and possibly their own contact book. This may be someone wishing to make an upwards move to a medium-sized charity or an intern/recent graduate ready to make their mark in the volunteering sector.
The wearing of many hats is a prerequisite of anyone working in a volunteering department and it’s a multitalented person we’re looking for. The successful candidate will be at ease with creating website content, adept with social media, have a good understanding of volunteering recruitment methods and best practice, be creative in their thinking and output, a database whizz, plus a real people person to boot! We’re looking for someone who is flexible (working evenings and weekends as required) and happy to travel, engaging new audiences and potential volunteers across the UK.
Only candidates who very closely match the above profile will be invited to interview.
To apply, please contact: Kayla Mullins, HR and L&D Coordinator on 01844 348 100 or email Kayla.Mullins@hearingdogs.org.uk with your CV and supporting letter/statement.
There is no closing date for this role, it will remain open until we find the right person.
