"He's my best friend and I wouldn't change a thing"
Posted by Matt Sadler
There's lots of love from hearing dog Romeo, who was partnered with Sarah in 2017.
"Romeo is now 10 years old and I have so much to thank him for. Having a hearing dog has changed my life.
“Some of you may remember Romeo. He was one of the Charity’s sponsor puppies in 2015, and I was the lucky person to be partnered with this sweet boy, when he graduated as a hearing dog. I will always be grateful to the sponsors and volunteers that helped to make our partnership possible.
"Romeo is very different to my previous two hearing dogs, Margot and Sadie, who were both black Labradors. The difference never mattered. I’ve loved them all. Each has been special to me in their own unique way.
“With my first two dogs, my husband was away a lot of the time, and I had two young children to look after. Life was different with Romeo as my children had grown up and left home - that’s when the love and companionship Romeo gave me became even more important.
“He continues to make me feel safe, gives me confidence and companionship, he accompanies me to Church every Sunday, and he’s there, right by my side, when my husband John and I travel with our caravan. He's my best friend and I wouldn't change a thing!
“Romeo is so full of love - you could say he has the perfect name! He’s particularly affectionate with us, his family, which includes our cat Figaro. The two of them are always snuggled up together and sharing sweet kisses! He loves our daughter’s cat too.
“Thank you, Romeo, for the invaluable and constant support you give me as my working hearing dog. Thank you for the love we’ll always share. I hope you will continue to love life with us for many years to come, as we love you being part of our family.”
