Karin works for Guide Dogs at the charity’s Leamington Spa breeding centre. She was partnered with chocolate Cockapoo, Harper, in January 2021. Harper is the centre’s first working hearing dog.

Navigating life with hearing loss had become a struggle for Jess. Then, in June 2021, she was partnered with her hearing dog, Faye. Now, Jess is supported in her work as a hospice doctor in Scotland, with her life-changing Cockapoo by her side.

Diane was born profoundly deaf with a rare condition called Klippel Feil Syndrome. An awful experience at the age of nine led to Diane avoiding social situations, but hearing dogs Chester and Merlin have opened up her world again.

Claire used to ride horses at an international level, but after a riding accident, her life took a turn for the worse. Now with hearing dog Tyler by her side, Claire no longer feels isolated.

Natalie and her husband Dave had always planned on starting a family, but Natalie was terrified of not hearing her baby cry if Dave wasn’t at home. Hearing dog Waldo has allayed those fears, and Natalie and Dave are now very proud parents to seven-month-old George.

Simon was diagnosed with bilateral congenital sensorineural hearing loss when he was four years old. For most of his life he managed his hearing loss by ‘muddling through’. Now, with hearing dog Flori to build bridges between him and other people, his life has changed from black and white to full colour.
