Gary has over 30 years experience in Commercial Operations and Business Management with British Airways, Legal & General and as Managing Director of his own management consultancy business. Gary is now the Protection Director for Lloyds Banking Group.
Gary is MD of his consultancy business which advises on Strategy, Operations and Project Management in Financial services. He worked for Legal & General for 20 years in areas including operations, marketing and distribution. Prior to this he worked for British Airways for 15 years. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lancaster University, is a Chartered Manager and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Gary lives in Horsham, West Sussex, with his wife, two children and a Working Cocker Spaniel called Skye. His main hobby is running, having run eight marathons, an experience he hopes to repeat for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People in the near future. He is a keen supporter of Southampton Football Club and also enjoys cycling, photography and walking.
Gary joined as a Trustee through an innovative scheme that looks to partner business executives with charities that would benefit from their experience.
Specifically Gary brings commercial and financial experience as well as a background in managing change and leading a team. Gary was attracted to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People by the clear objectives of the Charity and the fundamental difference it can make, as well as the positive attitude and culture of the people involved.
