Chairman – Christina O’Donovan-Rossa
Christina works at BP as VP Risk P&C based in London. She has worked for the company since 2007, and was previously Head of HR for the National Trust. With two family members who have hearing loss, Christina was keen to become involved with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Christina works at BP as VP Risk P&C based in London. Christina has been working in the oil and gas industry since 2007, having previously been Head of HR for the National Trust and also European HRD for Indus (now part of AAB ). On graduation from London University, Christina started her career in banking and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Banking, Further studies followed and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, holds a Diploma in Management and is a member of the British Psychological Society.
With two family members who have hearing loss, Christina was keen to become involved with Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
She brings her professional experience of risk and compliance, human resources, reward and renumeration to the team. Christina also has an active interest in preparing young people for the world of work, and works with Frontline and Career Ready, two not-for-profit organisations in this arena. Coupled with her direct experience of working at the National Trust, Christina has a strong insight into the demands and challenges of running a successful charity.
Christina became a trustee in 2018 and was elected as Chairman in 2022.
In her spare time Christina enjoys running and has raised funds for Hearing Dogs by completing the Great North Run with her daughter. She also enjoys spending time with her family and seven pets, including a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Bella.
