Taz is the winner of the Heroic Hearing Dog of the Year 2011

Taz receives the award after alerting Mags and her husband Mike to an injured man whilst the couple were walking in Snowdonia.

The award was presented by actress Julia Foster and chosen by EastEnders star Pam St Clement.

Runners-up in this year’s Heroic Dog of the Year category were hearing dog Troy and recipient Kenny Gibson, and hearing dog Jester and recipient Samantha Maxwell – both from Northern Ireland.
