Support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People runners at the BUPA Great North Run 2011

This Sunday sees this year’s BUPA Great North Run take place across the streets of Newcastle and Gateshead – and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will be there!

KJ Marshall and Bertie the demonstration Hearing DogThe Charity has over 50 runners taking part in the event, alongside 54,000 other participants and they need all the support they can get to make the 13-and-a-half mile run that little bit easier.

So if you are in the north east of the country this weekend, why not head to the race and cheer our fantastic fundraisers who have all been training hard ahead of the big day.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People supporters will be stationed at Tent 74, Avenue E at the Charity Village so why not also pop along and say hello there. Hearing dogs Fern and Bertie will also be on-hand to show you the magnificent work dogs like them do to assist our 750 recipients across the UK.

We will bring you all the reaction and news from this weekend’s run in the days to come, so do head back to the Dog Blog.

Good luck to all our runners!
