Brian Russell is the winner of the Desmond Wilcox Volunteer of the Year Award 2011
This year’s Desmond Wilcox Volunteer of the Year award has just been presented to Brian Russell from Knaresborough in Yorkshire.
Brian received the award from TV star Rebecca Wilcox – daughter of Esther Rantzen and the late television producer Desmond Wilcox, who the award is named after.
Despite undergoing major surgery and receiving treatment for cancer during 2011, Brian’s commitment to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People remains total.
