Hearing Dogs Summer Show 2011

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are delighted to announce that boxing’s Frank Bruno will be opening this year’s Summer Show event on Sunday 5th June 2011.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Summer Show 2011The former world heavyweight champion will be on hand to welcome guests to the show.

This is your chance to meet puppies in training and hearing dogs, see live demonstrations, enjoy children’s entertainment, and the Scruffts Dog Show. You can also watch lots of exciting displays, browse art and craft stalls, eat lots of food and enjoy a drink at a beer tent hosted by the Golden Cross.

All the fun kicks off at 11.00am and runs right through to 4.00pm. Tickets to the Summer Show are available on the day, priced: £5 for adults, £3 for concessions and under-16s, while a family ticket for two adults and three children costs just £15.

Registered assistance dog partnerships are welcome free of charge.

Scruffts heats are:

  • Most Handsome Crossbreed Dog (6 months – 7 years old)
  • Prettiest Crossbreed Bitch (6 months – 7 years old)
  • Child’s Best Friend (6 months – 12 years old) [handled by a young person between 6-16 years]
  • Golden Oldie Crossbreed (8 years and over)

Fun Dog Show:

  • Most Handsome Dog
  • Prettiest Bitch
  • Waggiest Tail
  • Dog the judge would most like to take home

Registration for both shows starts at 11am and places are limited so head over to the Dog Show ring to ensure inclusion.
