Hearing Dogs for Deaf People on flagship Channel Five programme

This Thursday (February 9), the Charity appeared on Channel Five’s ‘Live with Gabby’ programme to tie in with its week-long feature looking at inspirational animals.

The programme turned its attention to our work and witnessed at first-hand how hearing dog Foggy has radically changed the life of Norwich-based recipient, Simon Moore.

Born with Treacher Collins Syndrome, Simon’s condition resulted in him also being born deaf. This in turn led to Simon living a reclusive early life, often isolated at home and anxious to head outside.

However, since being partnered with Foggy in 2006, Simon has gained new levels of confidence and independence. This eventually resulted in Simon meeting his fiancée Vicky – Foggy was even at Simon’s side when he proposed to Vicky!
