Hearing Dogs on ITV1's Daybreak
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People will be featured on ITV1’s new breakfast show Daybreak on Monday 21 February between 8.15 -8.20am.
TV vet and Hearing Dogs supporter Emma Milne presents a series of videos for Daybreak called ‘the guide to your family pet’. Monday’s episode focuses on alternative ways to experience the joys and benefits of having a family pet without the long commitment a full time pet would require. Volunteer Puppy Socialiser Kate Tovey tells the nation about what puppy socialising means to her and her family whilst Jane Thurlow, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Puppy Socialising Trainer explains more about puppy socialising and difference these cute puppies can go on to make to a deaf person’s life.
We are looking for more volunteer puppy socialisers like Kate. With the support of experienced Hearing Dogs staff, volunteers will teach basic obedience and introduce the pup to all the different everyday sights, sounds, smells, experiences and environments that they will need to become comfortable with in their career ahead as a hearing dog. We are currently looking for volunteer puppy socialising in the following areas:
York
Cambridge
Peterborough
Exeter
Aylesbury
