Hearing dogs change the lives of their deaf owners by providing greater independence, confidence and security. Around 70% of dogs selected for training come from rescue centres or similar, so the lives of unwanted puppies are transformed too.

In addition to receiving regular updates on your hearing dog's progress, you will have the satisfacton of knowing that you are helping your new friend forget his old life as an unwanted pet.
More importantly, you will be supporting him as he makes a real difference to his deaf owner's life by alerting to important household sounds and danger signals.

Anyone who signs up to a regular monthly donation to Hearing Dogs will automatically become a Hearing Dog Friend and receive a letter and photo of their friend.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is the only charity in the UK that trains dogs to alert deaf people to important household sounds and danger signals.
Over half a million people in the UK experience severe or profound hearing loss and could potentially benefit from a hearing dog.
We do not receive any Government funding and so rely entirely upon the generosity of our supporters.
Here is how your monthly donation could help:
- We would be able to select many more puppies like Spotty (pictured above) from rescue centres.
- We could increase the number of dogs trained each year to meet the growing demand for hearing dogs.
- It would help pay for your friend's socialisation training to introduce him to all the different types of environments that he will encounter as a hearing dog.
- It would contribute towards the cost of your friend's health checks, neutering and veterinary bills, as well as on-going support throughout his working life.
