Gill joined Hearing Dogs in July 2008 and has been working hard to support our dedicated volunteers and make new contacts to raise funds and awareness for the Charity. Gill has worked previously for WWF-UK in a similar role, motivating groups and key individuals in the community to raise funds, campaign and increase the profile of the charity. In her last role at The Multiple Sclerosis Trust she raised funds from major donors and the corporate sector.

“I have lived in East Anglia all my life and really enjoy getting out and meeting all those connected with Hearing Dogs in the region. I have set up branches in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Saffron Walden, North Essex and Southend and Upminster and hope to launch new ones in Peterborough and Chelmsford in 2010. If you would like to volunteer on an individual basis or join a branch to help raise lots of funds for Hearing Dogs then please do get in touch.”

We have some wonderful dedicated speakers talking to schools, organisations and businesses throughout the region. If you would like to become a speaker yourself or would like a short presentation to find out more about the charity- do get in touch and Gill will arrange a visit. There are lots of ways you could get involved and support Hearing Dogs in East Anglia from lobbying your organisation or company to choose us as Charity of the Year to organising your own fundraising event. Gill would love to hear from you.

A Stroll in the Park

Why not take a Stroll in the Park on Sunday 10 October to raise money for Hearing Dogs?

You can choose between a 2 mile or 5 mile route around Milton Country Park. Toilets and car parking are located on site and refreshments will be made available for those taking part.

You could even make a day of it and bring a picnic for you and your four legged friends!
