"We are a relatively small company but do as much as we can to support causes that we believe makes a real difference to the lives of pets and people; Hearing Dogs does both."

Hearing Dogs was nominated as Charity of the Year for a local John Lewis store and partners have been really involved with helping to make a difference. A weekend in August saw dramatic changes at our head office when hardy John Lewis volunteers came and worked on a memorial garden. Hearing Dogs is so grateful for their on going support. (pictures)

Kennelgate support Hearing Dogs in a variety of ways including displaying our logo on their carrier bags, hosting collection boxes in all 18 of their stores, and participating in events and fundraising activities including a skydive in October 2008.

The Yorkshire Building Society has supported Hearing Dogs for Deaf People all over the country. In Surrey, the Woking branch raised £2500 to train hearing dog Doris. Raising a fantastic £5000 each, the Nantwich branch supported the training of hearing dog Paddy in Cheshire; the Newmarket branch sponsored Rambo, and Castleford sponsored Arthur in Yorkshire. With other donations received from other YBS branches and the Society’s charitable foundation, nearly £20,000 in all has been donated to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People from YBS. We are truly grateful to the Society and to every member of staff at YBS who made it happen.

To mark International Day of Disabled People, Remploy’s 10 town and city centre recruitment branches across the UK invited local VIPs, including Lord Mayors, actors, MPs and Jobcentre Plus representatives to launch balloons in recognition of every single candidate that has found work using the branches.
Each balloon found and returned to Remploy will result in a donation to national charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

The Hearing Company believes in supporting charities that make a difference to the lives of those who are hard of hearing or visually impaired.
The Hearing Company operates from over 500 outlets nationwide, including all branches of Scrivens opticians. Over the past two and a half years, the Hearing Company has donated a total of £16,000 to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

City of London-based insurance and re-insurance company, Aspen has donated a fantastic £10,000 to support the training of two dogs, Lily and Bertie. Suzy Eul-Brown, marketing manager at Aspen saw the 2007 Crufts TV coverage of hearing dog Molly winning the Friends for Life Competition, and invited Hearing Dogs to visit Aspen’s Fenchurch Street offices. Kim Nowak took her hearing dog Eva – the first dog allowed inside this gleaming marble and glass building! Kim told Aspen’s charity committee first hand how much life has changed for them both since Eva’s training as a hearing dog and we were rewarded by this wonderful donation.

Five years ago the Halifax/Bank of Scotland - now known as HBOS – set up the HBOS Foundation. So to mark the fifth anniversary this year, all HBOS staff were invited to enter a ballot from which five lucky winners could nominate a charity of their choice to receive a donation of £500. Employee, Fiona Whitelaw from Chester, was one of the lucky five winners, and as a very active Hearing Dogs volunteer speaker she knew who to nominate! The value of this is not just the donation, but also a short piece that appeared on the HBOS intranet – therefore potentially putting the Hearing Dogs name in front of 65,000 HBOS employees.

Three Valleys Water helped Hearing Dogs branches across the Northern
Home Counties by donating £11,000 to allow us to buy equipment.
Volunteer-run branches have benefited from new tents, display
boards, tables and lots of other items which will help them to
raise funds and spread the word about the Charity.
