Chairman – Faith ClarkFaith is the daughter of the Charity’s cofounder Lady (Beatrice) Wright. She served as a Trustee for seven years and was honoured to be asked to take over as Chairman three years ago.
Vice Chair – Dr Bruce Fogle MBE DVM MRCVSBruce is the cofounder of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and the world’s best selling practicing vet with books in over 35 languages. Bruce was appointed an MBE for services to deaf people.
John Bower MBE BVSc MRCVSJohn was the senior partner of a veterinary hospital practice with four satellite surgeries in Plymouth. He is a Veterinary Advisor to Petplan Insurance Company, a published author and past president of the British Veterinary Association.
Gary BurchettGary has over 30 years experience in Commercial Operations and Business Management. He currently works for Legal & General in London where he is Retail Strategy Director.
Andrew Freeland MB BS FRCSAndrew is a retired Ear, Nose and Throat consultant for the Radcliffe Infirmary. The management of the deaf, particularly the deaf child has been his career long interest.
Dr Hilary Harris MB ChB FRC GPHilary is a senior partner in a general medical practice and has past membership of the Human Genetics Commission and many other medical committees. She has a strong personal and professional interest in deafness, its causes and effects.
Vicky Harrison MA, DPhilVicky held posts as a scientific administrator in research councils and the Cabinet Office, where she was Deputy to the Government’s Chief Scientific Adviser. She was chief executive of a grant-giving foundation for nine years before retirement.
Adrian M Horsley JPAdrian enjoyed a career as a qualified architect, retiring as a senior partner of a successful firm based in Hull. He has been a Magistrate since 1982 and was the High Sheriff of the East Riding of Yorkshire during 2010.
Vicky HuntVicky is Information Technology Commercial Manager for Transport for London (TfL). She has 26 years experience of delivering information technology contract negotiation and vendor management services. She is the recipient of hearing dog Solace.
Ken Keir OBEKen is Executive Vice President of Honda Motor Europe. He is responsible for business performance in 27 European markets for Cars, Motorcycles and Power Equipment products. In 2006 Ken was awarded an OBE for services to the motor industry.
Jenny Smith MBEJenny Smith has a scientific background and has volunteered for the Charity for many years, earning her an MBE. Jenny is profoundly deaf and the very proud recipient of Molly, her third hearing dog.
